SCREENING AND SELECTION OF CANDIDATES
We take the time to thoroughly screen our candidates, not just for their suitability for the scheme, but to make sure we can deliver the best opportunity and development plan for them that we can.
We assess our candidates against a number of major industry competency frameworks - ECITB, APM, PRINCE2, PMI, etc. to define where strengths align to industry recognised metrics.
We do this by both desktop screening, assessing qualifications, experience and references, and in semi-structured interviews with candidates. Personalities, values and behaviours are equally important as technical competence and qualifications, so we make sure we get to know each of our candidates.
IDENTIFY INDUSTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Working with an array of industry partners in the UK nuclear, engineering and construction sectors, we work tirelessly to identify the right opportunity for our IndustrySmart candidates.
We're not just looking for the right fit, right now. We're looking for the long-term development opportunities, linked to company growth and development aspirations, to give candidates something to commit to and grow with. We find this approach leads to lasting relationships for both candidates and industry partners.
Once identified we work hard with our partner organisations to make sure we fully understand the current and future requirements of the role. We then support and mentor our candidates by helping them prepare for interview, competency assessment and on-boarding.
MONITOR, MENTOR & DEVELOP
Once on-boarded it's not the end of the road for us! That's where the real work, and real rewards begin.
Over the first two years of their career, we work personally with our candidates to make sure they're settled in their role, developing against their (and their organisational) plans, and getting the most from the experience for both themselves and the organisation.
We have a network across the UK of eminently skilled and experienced mentors who offer their time, to help guide, mentor and support candidates as they travel on their career development journey.
Additionally, we offer a range of bespoke and structured training programmes to candidates as they progress, which can be delivered in-house at our premises or on-site with client organisations.
